Dania Fantasy Jai-Alai League III (DFJAL) Official Rules

 

 

Important Things to Know Before You Sign Up:

 

Fantasy Team Owners Must Return to Dania Jai-Alai for Final Activation of Team AND for Mid-Season Change Player Dates or Team Will be Disqualified. 

 

One Entry Per Person!  ANYONE SUBMITTING MULTIPLE ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!  Identification required upon sign-up.

 

1.  DFJAL Season Dates:  November 4th, 2003 – November 30th , 2003

2.  Sign-Up Dates (Limited)  Tuesday, October 28th   – Sunday, November 2nd

3.  Final Activation Dates -  Tuesday, November 4th  –  Sunday Matinee, November 9th

4.  Change Player Dates – Friday, November 14th through Sunday Matinee, November 16th  

 

 

How to Play

  1. Fantasy Player Managers (fan entrants) will select a total of eight (8) players from the current Dania Jai-Alai Player Roster whose statistics will be currently active at the beginning of the Fantasy Jai-Alai season.
  2. Additionally four (4) players will be chosen that can be used as substitutes at the Change Player date at mid-season.
  3. Players will accumulate points in the following manner:  5 points for Win, 3 points for Place, and 1 point for Show.
  4. The total points accumulated by the Fantasy Team of your eight active players will determine the winner.  For example:  if, during a Tuesday matinee, one of your players Wins a game, another Places twice, and the other six on your team do not finish in-the-money, your team will have 11 points (5 for the Win and 3 for each Place finish). Your team totals will accumulate each performance.  The better your players perform, the higher in the standings you will go.  Injured players on a team cannot be changed until Change Player Date.
  5. At mid-season (Change Player Date), you will be required to use from a minimum of one (1) to a maximum of the four (4) substitutes you pre-selected to replace your active players.  This is mandatory!  If not done, your team totals will be frozen, and no further points can be added.  This will allow you to replace an injured player or one that is not performing well for you.  Points will, then, continue accumulating for your new active lineup at the beginning of the designated second half of season.  Remember, the points for your four (4) subs do not count until any or all of them are activated.

1st Place:           $3,000.00                      5th Place:                       $250.00

2nd Place:          $1,000.00                      6th Place – 50th Place:     $10.00

3rd Place:          $  750.00                      

4th Place:           $  500.00                       *Ties will Split Prize Money.
